Old Habits Die Hard

Christ on a bike I hate college. Or rather I love the idea but hate the reality of college (finding one that’s right for me, scholarships, the applications process, the reality of rejection).  More than anything I think I just want someone to explain everything to me. I don’t mind writing the scholarship essays or filling out the college applications but for the love of God would someone please point me in the right direction! I suppose my reaction to the whole thing (fear, avoidance, an intense need for correspondence with others) is one I could have expected as it is really no different from the way I deal with most of my academic struggles. But what I really wonder about is whether my need for a person to explain all of this to me (as opposed to web sites, pamphlets, etc.) is the result of my learning preferences or laziness. Do I need someone with an objective eye and first hand knowledge or am I simply looking for a motivater?
